GET YOUR GREEN ON WITH ME as I am entering this CASPEROLE recipe for one and have another in the ole cauldron for testing now (will post that later) the fun is beginning NOW!

bawaahhahaaaaaaa  GOOD LUCKY YOU GHOULS!

CHICKEN / CRAB & AVACADO CASPEROLE

15 precooked & seasoned. chicken wings, deboned and cleaned
1/2 lb of sliced bella-baby mushrooms (or your favorite)
1 onion chopped and cleaned
3 tb. of minced garlic
2 fresh sprigs of rosemary

1 container of cream cheese and chives 8oz

1/4 cup of grated fresh parmesean

2/3 - 1 cup of low sodium chicken broth

8 oz of cooked tri colored pasta rigatoni

1/3 cup cleaned picked lump crab meat

1 whole avacado cubed

2 Tb. Butter or Margerine

Sea Salt *to taste.


Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Grease a casserole dish. Saute fresh veggies and oil in the butter over low heat until clear. Put pasta in dish and combine with the cream cheese until distributed evenly all the way through. Spread evenly in dish and add the cooked chicken and stir. Add the sauteed veggie mixture and sprinkle with some sea salt. Stir. Add the Lump Crab Meat and Avacado and fold into mixture. Add Chicken Broth to moisten a bit at a time, reserving any unneeded liquid. (you do not want "extra" in your dish) Sprinkle parm. cheese on top and spread evenly in pan. Place in oven and cook until heated throughout.


Serve while warm. Fresh Salad or Fruit accompanies this well as a main dish.

For a Halloween Twist Serve in a GHOST Shaped Dish or a White Casserole dish...... some cotton pulled around the outside of the bowl or a white material draped around the outside of the dish enhances the appearance. Use a White Grated Cheese to cover the entire casserole and put back in the oven to melt" . make a "ghoulish" face on top with Eyes made from "black olives" and an open ghoulish mouth with a green pepper ring.

Some Frugal Doings

I went to CVS the other day and scanned my card , I got a B1G1F coupon for 5 gum  they are normally $1.57, if I use the $1 off coupon on the one I buy........ then I should get two for 57¢

I brought my $2 off any candy or beverage in to the store when I went and redeemed it for this $4.97 bag of candy that was on sale 5/$10 or $2 for the bag..........FREE snacks this week..........didn't really NEED the chocolate but I enjoyed it along with the rest of the clan that has been in and out of here...........yea its almost gone now.... which isn't a bad thing!

A stop by SHEETZ This week netted a FREE FIJI WATER from the load on my card that I posted earlier ;and then the coffee I bought had a FREE DONUT coupon on it which I will redeem next week! :)

I also picked up a couple of great coupons Buy 2 Get 1 free candy bar that will combine great with some FREE coupons I got via snail mail this week and PBR had some $1 coupons on any pizza with value of $1.50 or more, I am going to be looking at those frozen pizza slices for a sale before that one expires!

I love love love some LUXURY in my life!  who doesn't?   Earlier this month I purchased a $20 WHOLE FOODS GIFT CERTIFICATE for $10  did you?  If you have been following me on the blog, you probably did because you KNOW what a fabulous deal this is.  You also have learned to share your deals with your family and friends, n'est pas?   If you did sign up and shared with 3 friends or family members that also made this FANTASTIC purchase then you got your $20 for free. ............. like I did.

Now today I had a job at Whole Foods Grocery Store (photography gig for a promo that I am putting together/ more on that later).  So I printed out my paper and I threw it in my purse before I left.

 Once I entered the store I found this "flyer" full of coupons for the store....... and put in my purse for later thinking that I would use my coupons, these coupons and do the $20 challenge  
and show them what a REAL DEAL WAS........

I made more purchases than the coffee but the coffee is what I chose to spend my FREE $20 on.  Yes I could have stretched it further and gotten more bang for my buck, I could have paired it with coupons and gotten something else....... but I didn't.  


I bought this coffee that is normally $23.xx for 8 oz or $46 a lb for $3.xx.   YEP its an extravagance but it is PURE KONA and I love pure KONA COFFEE.     THIS MY FRIEND IS LIVING LAVISHLY FOR LESS!   Even the employee stocking the shelves commented "that is some awesome coffee, I treat myself to it over the holidays."   I was thinking "this is a holiday called, Anjie's GOOD DEAL holiday!"   :)

How often am I able to enjoy such a luxurious item?  not EVER....... so yep I used my GC wisely..... something to make me REALLY SMILE! 


Now I would be lying if I said I bought nothing else, I bought plenty. I used a $1 coupon on some bare naked granola for one, Tokies Pancakes too!   I actually bought too much! :)  I can't go into any Whole Foods store and NOT buy a bunch of things.   The only thing I wanted that I did not get was the olive oil that was on sale for $3.99 reg. $12.99 that was sold out.  I also forgot to get a raincheck on that item when I checked out.  


Tomorrow ,  like every friday they have a door buster sale.  Tomorrow's sale is BOGO SMOOTHIE and the whole deal book (link is pdf file that you can check out) that I have has some great coupons in it that I can match with some other deals, some online coupons  and did I mention the AWESOME COFFEE AND SALAD BARS THEY HAVE?   LOL.......... I even bought 2 bottles  of wine.  If you are going over there over the weekend and want to request a rain check for 3 bottles of this olive oil I would love to have one! :)
