Now I have to be truthful and tell you all that I have tried the whole grain pastas in the past and went right back to my REGULAR noodles, quick, fast and in a hurry................ so I wasn't "raring to go" to try this type either............but ............. willing to try again.
The noodles turned out perfectly and tasted GOOD even ALONE tossed in a little Olive Oil! SURPRISED AND HAPPILY SURPRISED ALREADY...............
I made a MUSHROOM gravy in one pan and cooked some ground sirloin (very low fat content) in another pan, so I thought I would add a bit of fat...........some tasty strips of bacon to simmer them in.......... oh my kitchen was smelling good!
I know this photo doesn't look very appetizing LOL but I layed the noodles with the sirloin and bacon patties and then topped them with the gravy before popping in the over for about 10 minutes
OH ME OH MY .............. WHAT A GREAT DINNER..........GARLIC BREAD , MY NEW CREATION .........and some peas on the side........
THE TASTE AND TEXTURE OF THE NOODLES WERE THE PERFECT ACCOMPANIMENT TO THE MUSHROOM GRAVY.......YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM

NO!! WHole grain pasta was NASTY before. WHen I was small, my mom used to buy the very brown stone- ground whole wheat pasta it was tough and chewy gross. I am very hesitant to try anything other than the "normal" pasta now...
I have tried it a couple of times and I am fine with it. However, I have not found one yet that my family likes!
Yes, I have tried it. It didn't seem as good as regular, but it was a different brand than this and I had gotten it free with coupon so I liked it enough I'll eat the rest of the boxes I got free! :)

Yes, I have tried it and luv it! It would be a gr8 win for me.....
I've tried it and we luv it...healthy and tasty too! Would be a gr8 win!
munI do love whole wheat pasta! My kids on the other hand well..not so much - so we came to the aggreement 1/2 regular and whole wheat in the spaghetti.. It is great believe it or not!
I've tried Barilla and our family is fine with it. Little longer to cook but we all like the flavor and it is alot more healthy! I use it in the same recipes I used regular pasta.
Yes, I have tried two different types and Barilla is the BEST. Even my kids and husband like it, which makes it extra special
Haven't tried it yet, but your recipe sounds like a good one to start with.

I have tried whole grain pasta before and I tolerate it based on its health benefits. However, I much prefer regular pasta and often find myself mixing a bit of the two together to make the eating experience more palatable.
I have tried whole grain pasta. It tastes a little different but I do like it.

I have tried whole wheat pasta, but the results were not the best. I think I overcooked it.

Hi! Haven't tried it before. I keep meaning to, but it seems when I get to the store I just don't even think about it lol.
I love whole grain pasta. I honestly don't get why some people don't like it.
I usually just make my own sauce to add to whole grain pasta for dinner. A can of crushed tomatoes, some onion, celery & carrots, spices, and crumbled sausage.
It would be awesome if I could get my son to eat this. He's such a picky eater.
Shrimp Linguine with whole wheat pasta!!!
Yes, I have tried whole grain pasta. It took some time to like, but now the other stuff tastes like glue or at least what I figure it tastes like.
We use whole wheat pasta all the time and find it to be very good (and feel good that we are doing something healthy). My husband being of Italian descent, we eat lots of pasta in various forms and various ways (he cooks it, too). Just had clam fettucine for dinner tonight! Would love to have a nice supply of the "good" stuff.
We have tried it and we do like it. It is great when you use it like soba noodles in a cold oriental noodle salad.
I have tried some brands of healthy pasta and they are pretty good.

I have never tried whole grain pasta before. We are BIG pasta eaters here so I would like to try it.
I have used whole grain pastas for abour 25 years. They have come a long way in texture and taste.
Favorite healthy whole grain meal to serve is whole grain linguini or spaghettie topped with a vegetarian breaded chicken patty, my homemade marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese, with salad on the side.
We've eaten whole wheat pasta for the past 2-3 years. Just love it!
I use whole grain pasta as a way to get my of the stuff that is good for you in our diet..
We have tried it a few times. It's different from regular pasta, but we do like it.
Whole grain pasta is what our family
eats the most!
Thanks, Cindi

My favorite whole grain meal to make is a combination of bow tie pasta and whole grain kasha (buckwheat groats)fried with onion.
Really
We have mostly made the switch in my house to whole wheat pasta. I actually like it. And the family is getting to like it as well. We are trying to make healthier choices on a daily basis.
I have tried whole grain pasta but it was a cheap brand and tasted like cardboard, yuck! I might try it again from a different brand.
Looking delicious!!
I just can't wait to win it, i am feeling excited for this...
I was like you. I had tried other whole wheat pasta and didn't like it. BUT, this pasta is different. I LOVE it!
I have tried whole grain pasta in the past and have not liked it. The noodles would never get soft enough to my liking. I'm willing to give them another shot.
Love the whole grain, use this all the time!!!
Yes I tried it and its pretty good.
I love whole grain pasta!!
We love whole grain pasta
Yes, tried to sneak into spaghetti and meatballs but family quickly figured it out. Willing to try again though
Whole wheat pasta has come a long way. I think it is because there are certain percentages of whole wheat used (like in bread), but there have also been soft whole wheats cultivated that kept the whole wheat pasta more like the refined flour pastas that we remember.
I haven't tried the Barilla whole wheat pasta yet. But your recipe and review make me want to try it. Sounds easy and delicious! tkbarbier at yahoo dot com
I haven't tried the Barilla yet. The closest we've gotten was the smart taste pasta. I will have to give this a try.
love it best pasta to use .. WOO HOO , bought it as a freebie to try
I have tried it before & we liked it. I use it to make various pasta dishes!
I would love to try this healthy pasta and the recipe sounds tasty.
I have tried it and I do like it. Thanks for chance to win.
I will give it a whirl! Not usually a big fan of the brown pastas, but, I will try this one! Your recipe looked quite yummy....I know what a great cook you are!!

Happy Thanksgiving, Anjie! ♥
We use Barilla in the blue box. I haven't noticed the new product in my store just yet. I'll have to look for it next time.
We've tried whole wheat pasta which my hubby wasn't keen on, but I was okay with. I like the nuttiness of it, but since he didn't, I've searched for and tried other pastas that incorporate whole grains which have a milder flavor. Now my guys (hubby & two sons) will eat pretty much any kind of pasta I throw at them. :-)
I tweeted this on my twitter (worshipmanswife) and shared on my FB (Terese Wilson Christian).
My favorite whole grain recipe is: Black Bean and Tomato Quinoa - serve warm or cold...YUMMY and packed with protein and whole grain!

I tried Healthy Harvest whole wheat thin spaghetti and I thought it was pretty good as long as I cooked it al dente. Husband likes his pasta cooked longer so it then seemed quite sticky. I assumed all whole grain pastas would be the same so never tried any of the others. Maybe it's time to try Barilla!!
I tried whole grain pasta a few years ago and boy was it HOLY HORRIBLE! I hope there has been a major improvement over the years.
sure look sgood

We've tried whole grain pasta in the past. Like the lighter colored ones, not the dark ones. Would love to try Barilla's.
Thanks!

Since being on Weight Watchers whole wheat/whole grain pasta has pretty much been the only variety I used. It's fine in taste but sometimes does get a bit chewier than regular pasta. Winning this would be great and perhaps will donate some to a local food bank.
I have tried whole wheat pasta. I like it and plan to use it exclusively. It's a painless way to be a bit healthier.
